The original company was established in 1988 by Director Andrea Murphy. Tardis Archaeology is an experienced cultural heritage management consultancy firm with extensive knowledge in managing the various aspects of Indigenous and non- indigenous history.

Tardis Archaeology has earned a reputation for providing high quality service and professional advice on all facets of indigenous and non-indigenous heritage services. We offer services nationwide and deal with any heritage requirement from individual site management to major capital works and infrastructure projects.

Since the Victorian Government introduced the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 and Aboriginal Heritage Regulations 2018, our company has produced over 300 Cultural Heritage Management Plans (CHMP) approved by First Peoples – State Relations (FPSR) or Registered Aboriginal Parties (RAP).

Tardis Archaeology Pty Ltd currently hold insurance policies appropriate for a range of projects. Our standard insurance details are:

• Professional Indemnity with CGU Professional Risks Insurance $10 million;
• Public Liability with Austbrokers Business Insurance $20 million; and
• Workplace Injury Insurance with Gallagher Bassett.
